IPL 2023: Corona Cases Are Increasing, BCCI Provided Strict Guidelines To All The IPL Franchises

In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, the shadow of Corona has started looming again. The reason for this is that there has been a rapid increase in the cases of Covid infection across the country. 509 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Delhi in 24 hours. But its positivity rate is going to increase tension. An increase of 10.9 percent has been seen in this rate in one day.

Now because of all these increasing cases, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given strict instructions to all the franchisees, staff and players of the IPL. BCCI has instructed everyone to be more alert and careful.

A BCCI source aware of the matter said, “We have asked everyone to be more vigilant and careful to prevent corona in IPL. We know that the corona cases are increasing (in the country), but there is nothing to worry about as we have asked the players and support staff to follow the Covid guidelines.”

The source said, “The players’ safety and health are paramount for us. Whatever guidelines are given by the government, they will be followed. Our team is taking stock of the situation. As far as Corona is concerned, we are tracking everyone. “

Akash Chopra, who was included in the Hindi commentary panel in IPL, has become Covid positive this time. Akash himself had tweeted the information about that. Also, Akash wrote in his YouTube community post that he apologized for the interruption.

Akash Chopra also made a tweet in which he wrote, “Caught and bold covid. The C virus has struck again. Still mild symptoms. Everything is under control. Will stay away from commentary for a few days. Hope I will come back strongly.”

The cases of corona infection are increasing rapidly in the country. In the last 24 hours, 4,435 new patients of Corona have appeared. Along with this, the infection rate was recorded at 3.38 percent. While the weekly infection rate has also reached 2.79 percent.
