IPL 2023: Brett Lee And Robin Uthappa Suggest To Drop This Big Hitter From SRH, Ask To Include Glenn Phillips In the XI

The former Australian pacer Brett Lee has given a blunt statement for the batter of Sunrisers Hyderabad who is failing continuously with the bat. The player is none other than Harry Brook, the destructive England batsman who has not done much for SRH this season except a century.

Brett Lee has recommended that Harry Brook should take a break for a couple of games during IPL 2023 as he is currently experiencing a lean patch. Lee has suggested that SunRisers Hyderabad use this opportunity to bring in someone else such as Glenn Phillips who can play more effectively in the middle-order.

“He is obviously a class player. He has got Test hundreds. He has got a hundred here as well. But I feel, SRH are losing a spot. May be they bring someone else instead of Harry Brook for a couple of games. They are losing,” Lee told Jio Cinema.

He further added,”Nothing against Harry Brook, he is a gun. But he is not in the right mindset.”

The former Australian pacer stated this after Harry Brook’s second consecutive duck for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In their latest match played on May 4th, SRH got a close defeat of five runs against Kolkata Knight Riders runs in Hyderabad.

Harry Brook’s form has dropped since his outstanding performance, and he has only scored 163 runs in nine matches. After his sensational century at Eden Gardens, the England batter has scored 9, 18, 7, 0, and 0.

According to former Indian batter Robin Uthappa, Sunrisers Hyderabad could consider Glenn Phillips for the middle-order position and promote in-form Heinrich Klaasen higher up in batting order.
