IPL 2023: Andre Russell And Rashid Khan Make Unique ‘100’ In The GT-KKR Clash

The 39th match of Indian Premier League is being played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans at Eden Garden, Kolkata. In this match, the two star players from both the teams have reached a specific milestone in their IPL career.

The star all-rounder from Kolkata Andre Russell has now completed his 100th match for KKR. He played his 100th match against Gujarat Titans on his 35th birthday.

In this match against GT, Russell smashed 34 runs in 19 balls with the help of two hours and three sixes. Russell was not performing with the bat in the past matches, but these runs on his 35th birthday will definitely boost his confidence.

The Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan who started his IPL journey with Sunrisers Hyderabad has also completed his 100th game in the IPL in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. The ex SRH player is now part of Gujarat Titans and he has been performing brilliantly with the ball and many times with the bat as well.

However, the Afghan spinner went wicketless in his 100th appearance and spent 54 runs in his quota of four overs. In his debut session for SRH in 2017, Rashid Khan took 17 wickets in 14 matches and he finished as the 6th leading wicket-taker of the tournament.

In this match, Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and elected to bowl first. With the help of Rahmanullah Gurabaz 81 runs in 39 balls and Russell 34 runs, KKR posted a total of 179 runs in the allotted 20 overs.
