Inside Scoop: Sunil Narine’s Plans for the T20 World Cup Revealed

KKR’s star spinner Sunil Narine has finally made it clear that he will not be returning to international cricket to play for the West Indies in the upcoming T-20 World Cup. Sunil Narine has been in phenomenal form with both bat and ball for KKR.

This performance from Sunil Narine in the ongoing season of the IPL has caught the eye of everyone wanting him to return to international cricket.

West Indies skipper Rovman Powell has been in touch with Sunil Narine, requesting his return to competitive cricket. 

However, now Narine has written a lengthy statement regarding his return on Instagram, saying that he has been flattered and humbled by the request to come out of retirement.

Sunil Narine wrote, “I hope this message finds you all well and in good health. I am truly flattered and humbled that my performances recently have moved many people to publicly express their wish for me to come out of retirement and play in the upcoming T20 World Cup.”

Narine further added, “I have made peace with that decision, and whilst I never wish to disappoint, that door is now closed, and I will be supporting the guys who take the field in June for the West Indies. Guys who have worked hard over the past few months deserve to show our wonderful fans that they are capable of winning another title. I wish you all the best.”
