Indian Team Scripted World Record By Winning Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Indian team has captured the series 2-1 by defeating Australia in the four-match Border Gavaskar series. The fourth and last Test match played in Ahmedabad was drawn, and with this, India won the four-match Border Gavaskar Test series against Australia by 2-1. After winning this Test series, the Indian team has become the first country in the world to do so.

This remarkable record was never recorded in the names of the teams of Australia and South Africa, which Team India added to its name in Ahmedabad. The Indian team has created history by defeating Australia in the Border Gavaskar Test series and capturing the 16th consecutive Test series at home, a world record.

India won the first Test match against Australia in Nagpur by innings and 132 runs. After this, Team India took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the series by winning the second Test match played in Delhi by 6 wickets. In the third Test match played in Indore, Australia made a comeback and won by 9 wickets. In the end, the fourth and last Test match was drawn, due to which India captured this four-match Border Gavaskar series by 2-1.

The Indian team has not lost a single Test series at home since losing the Test series against England in November 2012. Australia is the first team to win 10 consecutive Test series twice at home. India has lost only 3 matches in the last 46 Test matches at home.
