Indian Team Is In Spot Of Bother As Threats Loom Over Their Place In The WTC Final; Look At Indian Team Qualification Scenario For WTC Final

The Australian team won the third test match against India in Indore by 9 wickets, and with this win, they became the first team to reach the final of the World test Championship 2021-23. India’s performance in Indore Test has been very embarrassing. India was bundled out for just 163 runs in the second innings. Australia has got a target of 76 runs to win, which is not very difficult.

Indian Team Qualification Scenario For WTC Final

  1. If India beats Australia in Ahmedabad, then they will directly Qualify for the Finals Of the WTC.
  2. If India losses against Australia, then they will have to be dependent on the result of the test series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
  3. If Srilanka wins both the matches of that series, then they will qualify for the finals along with Australia.
  4. If there will a draw or Sri Lanka losses a single match, then India will make their place in the final of WTC along with Australia.

Talking about the Indore Test match, the Indian team, which came out to bat first, scored only 109 runs in its innings. No Indian player could do anything special. In response, Australia scored 197 runs in their first innings. Australia got a valuable lead of 88 runs on the basis of the first innings.

Now Indian team started their second innings. Except for Cheteshwar Pujara, no Indian players were seen as effective against the Australian spin attack and scored 163 runs leading the match with 75 runs. Now visitors need only 76 runs to win the match, and they clinch the match in the first session by losing a wicket. The Australian spinner Nathan Lyon took 11 wickets for 99 in the match.
