Indian Pacer Arshdeep Singh Routes To Play For England, To Share Dressing Room With Kane Richardson And George Linde

Kent County Club has signed young Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh fast bowler from Star India, for the 2023 County Championship season. Arshdeep Singh will be playing for the club as an overseas player.

The Kent cricket team has signed the young Indian bowler as their third overseas player for the upcoming season. The team has also signed George Linde for a two-year deal to play in all formats and Kane Richardson for the T20 Blast.

Kent’s director Paul Downton said, “We’re delighted to have a player of Arshdeep’s potential join us for five matches this Summer. He has demonstrated that he has world-class skills with the white ball, and I am very confident he will be able to put those skills to good use with the red ball in the County Championship.”

Arshdeep Singh made his international debut against England in Southampton in 2022. He proved himself to be a valuable addition to the team in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Arshdeep performed brilliantly in the Indian Premier League of 2021 and 2022 and then he was picked for the national team.

Arshdeep Singh talked to Cricbuzz about his new jersey, “I am excited to play red-ball cricket in England and continue to improve my skills in the first-class game. I look forward to performing in front of Kent’s Members and supporters; Rahul Dravid has already told me it is a Club with a great history.”
