The Indian team remained mentally ready to compete against Pakistan during their T20 World Cup match and the recent decision of Pakistan to resume competitive play has strengthened their commitment to athletic preparation according to assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate who made this statement on Monday. Ten Doeschate expressed his approval of the match against their main rivals after it returned to the sports schedule. The players believed they would receive an automatic victory according to Ten Doeschate. The team maintained their original plans because they believed the match would take place because they expected events to unfold and lead to the game being played which resulted in no major changes to their operational procedures.
Ten Doeschate explained that they received their first confirmation of whether the match would proceed through the leg operation which started to show signs of progress after midnight because the team needed to face strong opponents for their development.
The Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed to the International Cricket Council that their team would participate in all matches after they had announced their February 15th match withdrawal against India which took place in Colombo.
The Indian players maintained their focus on training because they refused to let outside events influence their schedule according to Ten Doeschate.
The former Netherlands captain explained to the media that his team had already accepted their match situation on Thursday until they arrived at the venue but their opponents had not arrived yet.
The South African-born coach confirmed that players were actively avoiding political discussions which have emerged during the tournament.
The team maintains its intention to avoid any involvement with political matters according to his statement. He said that he had already expressed his views about how people in the country feel and about the different political systems that two nations maintain. The cricket match requires our complete attention because it contains vital cricketing elements which need our complete attention. Ten Doeschate recognized that Pakistan possesses a logistical advantage because the team has already spent extensive time in Colombo. The upcoming fixture presents a challenge for Pakistan because they have spent the last two weeks in Colombo while we concentrate on delivering our best performance during that match. The two teams will compete in a sporting event because Ten Doeschate thinks Pakistan needs to provide clear information about their participation.
The ICC has started discussions between stakeholders who need to work together for the tournament to continue without problems as all attention moves to the upcoming high-stakes India-Pakistan match.
