The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday declared that it would welcome India for three 50-over matches and one T20I series in September 2023.
But it is still unsure whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be willing to send their team to Bangladesh given the current situation with no permanent government in place.
The BCB’s media release indicated that the first ODI would be on September 1, the second on September 3, and the last one on September 6. The T20I matches will follow on September 9, 12, and 13.
The Indian cricket squad will fly to Bangladesh on August 28 for their limited-overs series.
Last July, India’s tour of Bangladesh was canceled and the six-match white-ball series was postponed for more than a year.
“Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have mutually agreed to push back the white-ball series, comprising three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals, between Bangladesh and India scheduled in August 2025 to September 2026,” BCCI had announced in a press release last July.
“The decision came after the two Boards discussed the matter, considering not only the international cricketing commitments but also the scheduling convenience of both teams.”
“The BCB is really excited to receive India in September 2026 for such a highly awaited series. The new dates and schedules for the tour will be revealed at the appropriate time,” it further said.
