Main Spinners: Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravindra Jadeja(Deepak Hooda will assist them)

Main Pacers: Shardul, Arshdeep and Prasidh Krishna

Death Overs: Shardul/Prasidh Krishna and Arshdeep

Important Picks:

  1. Shikhar Dhawan: One of the best batter of ODI format, Shikhar Dhawan is all set to lead Indian team on this tour. He has terrific consistency in this format, and against West Indies, he will take all his time to get his batting mojo back. Although, his recent form against England was poor but he is too good to drop against West Indies.
  2. Ishan Kishan: He is free flowing batter but will be tested on Caribbean’s slow pitches. At international level, he has given fine performances for India, and will like to continue the same form on this tour as well. He has scored 88 runs with an average of 29.33 in 3 ODI matches.
  3. Shreyas Iyer: ODI format is the best suited format for Shreyas Iyer. In absence of many key players, he has to step up. The only issue with S Iyer is that, he seems to be vulnerable against short balls and West Indies bowlers will use this ploy against him. Overall, in absence of key players, he becomes and important pick in small leagues.
  4. Suryakumar Yadav: One of the finest batter of Indian team. He has all the ability to play in any condition, and under any situation. The only risk with him is that, he is coming to bat at number 5 and sometimes may get very few overs to bat. Overall a good pick in your dream11 team.
  5. Ravindra Jadeja: On this tour Ravindra Jadeja is all set play most important role as a batter, as well as, a bowler. It is high likely that, he will bowl his quota of overs and, on slow track, he can extract some amount of spin as well. In batting department, he can get promotion for hitting. He can be the likely candidate of Captaincy choice in your team.
  6. Yuzvendra Chahal: Against opponent like West Indies whose batter’s techniques are prone towards spin, Yuzvendra Chahal will be biggest asset of Indian team on this tour. He is a must have pick in your dream11 team. You can even think of making captain.
  7. Shardul Thakur: Bowling allrounder who has the good ability of taking wickets under any situation but has very poor habit of leaking runs. He can be used in death overs because of his variations. Thakur can contribute with bat which makes important pick in your team.

Trump Card Pick Will be riskier choice: Rotate these players in GL, You can consider them in your small leagues but their will be always a risk factor with them).

  1. Deepak Hooda: In absence of Hardik Pandya, he can play crucial role with his bowling as well. Indian team can use him as an all-rounder, and in that case, he can fetch  good amount of point in both department.  Risk: In some matches he may get very few overs of batting and his bowling depends on the performances of other bowler.
  2. Arshdeep Singh: Highly talented youngster who had very impressive debut against England, and will want to continue the same form in this tour as well. He has got all the variation in his kitty which makes him the perfect option for death overs. Risk: This is just a starting of his international career and, he could have some early jitters during the match.
  3. Ruturaj Gaikwad: He has been selected in this format because of very terrific performance in domestic circuit. He has very good technique against spin and likes to dominate them. If he plays, then, can be one of the trump card pick of your team. Risk: During initial overs, he struggle against pace and, in T20 cricket has thrown his wicket to pacers, numerous times.
  4. S Gill: One of the very fine batter who seems to have all the time in the world to execute his shots. Highly talented but in international circuit hasn’t justified his talent. If he plays then has all the ability to score big.  Risk: Unable to covert his starts into big one.

West Indies Team Preview:

Windies are an average team of this format. Their coach has demanded a good wicket for the batters as their team failed to play spinners against the Bangladesh team.

Probable 11 of the team:

  • S Hope: RHB
  • B King: RHB
  • S Brooks: RHB
  • K Carty: RHB+RAM//K Mayers: RHB+RAM
  • Nicholas Pooran: LHB+RAO
  • R Powell: RHB+RAM
  • J Holder: RHB+RAM
  • R Shepherd: RHB+RAM
  • Akeal Hosein: LHB+LAO
  • A Joseph: RHB+RAF
  • G Motie: LHB+LAO

Team Breakup:

Main Batters: S Hope, N Pooran and S Brooks
Main Spinners: Akeal Hosein and G Motie(N Pooran will assist them)
Main Pacers: A Joseph and J Holder(R Shepherd will assist them)
Death Overs: A Joseph and J Holder(R Shepherd can also bowl)

Important Picks:

  1. S Hope: Best batter of West Indies team in this format. He has all the ability to play long and score big. Against India, he has scored 354 runs in 19 matches with an average of 45.8. He will give backup with his wicket keeping skill and thus a must have pick on your dream11 team.
  2. S Brooks: He is very fine batsman, used to take his time to settle down himself and loves to play according to the situation. In 15 ODI matches, he has scored 532 runs with an average of 38.
  3. N Pooran: He is very talented and highly rated batter of West Indies and has all the ability to score big. In this format, he lacks temperament and this is biggest issue with his bating. He likes to take on the bowlers but in that process has thrown his wicket away. In recent times, he has bowled some overs as well. Overall, he will be a good pick in your small league team.
  4. Jason Holder: He is the best player of this team who can benefit you with bat as well as ball. Although, his batting  will come lower down the order, but against India, it will certainly come, and in bowling department, he will bowl his qouta of 10 overs including death overs as well. He will be must have pick in your team, even, you can consider him as your captain.
  5. Alzari Joseph: Alzari Joseph is one of the best bowler of this team. He is very skilful bowler who can execute his slower ones , yorkers and cutters very well. He can be a considerable pick in your team.

Trump Card Pick Will be riskier choice: Rotate these players in GL, You can consider them in your small leagues but their will be always a risk factor with them).

  1. Akeal Hossein: He used to maintain good line and length and his accuracy is his strength. Risk: Inspite of bowling wicket taking deliveries, he tries to be economical.
  2. R Shepherd: Shepherd is very fine all rounder and can contribute with bat, as well as, ball. He is a powerful hitter and generally bats lower down the order. Risk: There is no surety about number of overs he will bowl and in batting department he lacks consistency.
  3. R Powell: A very fine batter of T20 cricket yet to prove his talent in the longer format. However, his recent form with bat is quite good and has the ability to score some quick runs. Risk: He lacks consistency in this format. In ODI cricket, he has average of just 23.72 which is very poor for any top order batsman.
