In the first quarter-final game of the Asian Games, India is facing Nepal where the team is heading towards a big score. In this match Indian captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and elected to bat first. While batting first the young star Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a solid hundred.
India got a solid start and both Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched a partnership of 103 runs. India lost its first wicket in the form of Gaikwad who was dismissed for his individual score of 25 runs. Even after the dismissal of Gaikwad, Jaiswal did not stop and completed his century in 48 balls with the help of eight fours and seven sixes.
Jaiswal was sent to Pavillion by Dipendra Singh and by then India had already scored 150 runs in 16.2 overs and were now cruising towards 200 runs. Apart from Gaikwad and Yashasvi Jaiswal, Tilak Varma, and Jitesh Sharma did not do anything great and they were dismissed for 2 runs and 5 runs respectively.
For Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee has got two wickets, while Sompal Kami and Sandeep Lamichhane have one wicket each.
