IND vs ENG: A Look At Team India Probable Playing XI For 2nd Test, Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar To Knock The Door

India and England will face each other in the second game of the five-match Test series in Visakhapatnam from 02, February 2024. India has already lost the first match played in Hyderabad by 28 runs and the absence of some remarkable players due to injuries will definitely hamper the Indian’s journey in this Test match.

Meanwhile, we will look at the probable and most suitable playing XI for team India for the second game.

KL Rahul was remarkable in the first game played in Hyderabad. In the first inning, he was the second-highest scorer for the team(86) just behind Ravindra Jadeja who got 87 from his bat. Now that KL Rahul is out from the team due to pain in his quadriceps, the newly added Sarfaraz Khan would be the most appropriate candidate to take the wicket-keeper’s place in the playing XI. Sarfaraz has already improved himself in domestic cricket and now the call from Team India will definitely boost his career.

Ravindra Jadeja is also out from the team due to a hamstring injury. In place of the Indian all-rounder, team management might go with Washington Sundar who possesses the same quality as Jadeja. Jadeja got 87 runs in the first inning and a total of five wickets in the first match played in Hyderabad.

As Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are not there in the playing XI, Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill will once again get a chance even after their huge failure in the first game.

India’s Probable Playing XI For 2nd Test vs England:

Rohit Sharma, Yashavi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Sarfaraz Khan, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, KS Bharat, R Ashwin, Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj
