IND vs ENG, 5th Test: This Player Making Debut For India, Here Is The Playing XI For Both The Teams

In the fifth and final Test of the ongoing five-match series between England and India in Dharamsala, England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bat first on Thursday.

Devdutt Padikkal received his maiden Test cap for India, becoming the fifth player to make his debut for the host team in the ongoing series. Before him, Rajat Patidar, Sarfaraz Khan, Dhruv Jurel, and Akash Deep have made their debut for India in this ongoing series.

India has made two changes to their playing XI from the team that played in Ranchi. Jasprit Bumrah returns, taking the place of Akash Deep. Additionally, due to an injury to Rajat Patidar during Wednesday’s training session, he has been replaced by Devdutt Padikkal in the lineup.

India has an unbeatable lead in this series where they are 3-1 ahead of the host nation.

Rohit Sharma also talked about the legendary R Ashwin who is playing his 100th Test match. “Ash has been a real stalwart of Indian cricket. Such a proud moment for him, his nation, and his family. We will be rooting for him to do the magic.”

The captain of the England Cricket team, Ben Stokes praised Jonny Bairstow who is playing his 100th red ball match for England. He said,”Jonny is one of our best all format players. 100 Test caps shows his commitment. Nice moment a few minutes ago when he got the cap.”
