IND vs ENG, 4th Test: This Bowler Likely To Make Debut For India In The Absence Of Jasprit Bumrah

India will face England in Ranchi for the fourth game of the five-match test series on February 23. The hosts are up in the series with a lead of

2-1 in their favour. Meanwhile, Indian veteran Jasprit Bumrah has been rested for the fourth game along with KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.

However, according to a recent report, the fast bowler from West Bengal, Akash Deep is likely to make his Test debut during the fourth Test in Ranchi which starts on Friday. Akash is slated to replace Jasprit Bumrah, who has been released from the game to handle his workload.

Akash Deep and Mukesh Kumar who hail from West Bengal are the two pace choices to accompany Mohammed Siraj in the upcoming fourth Test. However, according to a report from Indian Express, the team management and selectors are inclined to choose Akash Deep, given their positive impression of his bowling performance in the matches between India A and England Lions. Akash managed to secure 10 wickets in two games for India A in Ahmedabad.

Both Akash and Mukesh have been prominent fast bowlers for Bengal in red-ball cricket. Akash has taken 104 wickets from 30 First-Class games with an average of 23.58.

In an official press release, Jay Shah, the Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), stated that Jasprit Bumrah has been released for the fourth Test.
