IND vs AUS, 2nd Test 2023: David Warner To Be Dropped From The Second Game, This Player Likely To Replace The Opener

The veteran Australian opener David Warner is going through a rough patch and his continuous failure with the bat is making his place more uncertain in the Australian playing XI.

According to the latest report, the star batter is likely to be replaced by the other left-hander Travis Head in the second Test against Australia.

Team India takes a 1-0 lead after beating Australia in the first match of the four-match under the Border-Gavaskar trophy. Rohit Sharma and company won the match by an inning and 132 runs with a massive contribution of Indian veteran spin twin R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

In the series opener at Vidarbha Cricket Stadium, Nagpur, David Warner looked so packed within the crease and was unable to middle the ball. He scored only one run in the first inning and got clean-bowled by Mohammed Shami. In the very second inning for Australia, the batter struggled again and got only 10 runs.

Matt Kuhnemann is also battling for a place in the playing XI for the second test. Mitchell Swepson, who is going back home to give birth to his child, has been replaced by Kuhnemann.

The second test between India and Australia will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium, New Delhi. The match will start on February 17, at 9:30 AM.
