IND vs AUS, 1st Test: Ramij Raja Names This Player As The Perfect Replacement Of Shreyas Iyer For Australia Test

Former Pakistan Chief selector Ramij Raja has picked his possible playing XI for team India against the Australia for the 1st test. He said that Suryakumar Yadav, the powerful batter, must be included in India’s playing XI for the opening Test of the four-match series against Australia.

He believed that Suryakumar’s capacity to score runs quickly would increase the team’s chances of winning the first game of the series. Raja mentioned England’s 3-0 victory over Pakistan as instance that playing with a high strike rate has recently put pressure on the opponent in Test match cricket.

The cricketer-turned-commentator said it was a wise decision by the Indian selectors to include several T20 stars in their Test squad.

Speaking on his youtube channel, the former PAK player said,”India should play Suryakumar Yadav. He will generate pace with the bat. They have named a lot of T20 players in their squad for the first two Tests, which is good because action is what gets a thumbs-up from everyone in Test cricket these days.”

“We saw how England scored 350-400 runs in a single day against Pakistan. The more pace you generate, the more pressure you can create. India have a great opportunity to create pressure.”

Shreyas Iyer has been ruled out of the first Test due to injury, and Suryakumar is one of the leading candidates to take his place in the team’s playing XI. Earlier this year, the star batter impressed everyone with his red-ball cricket skills, scoring 223 runs in just three innings in the Ranji Trophy.
