It’s the knights vs. challengers taking on one another; it’s Gambhir vs. Virat, the battle that is set to unfold in Bengaluru.
However, ahead of the much-awaited clash between the two sides, former KKR and RCB star Varun Aaron feels that Gambhir’s presence in the opposition’s dugout is enough to give Virat Kohli motivation to do well.
In his recent interaction with Star Sports Varun, Aaron said that he is very eagerly waiting for the Gambhir vs. Virat battle.
Varun Aaron said, “I don’t want to stir anything, but I’m looking forward to the matchup outside the boundary line. Gautam Gambhir is going to be there right beside the Bengaluru dug-out; I don’t know what’s going to happen there. We know Virat likes to have fire in his belly, and if he just looks at the Kolkata dugout, he’s going to get fired up.”
Gambhir vs. Virat was an intense on-field controversy that unfolded in the previous IPL edition. Virat and Naveen ul Haq were involved in an on-field banter.
Speaking about the same, Gautam Gambhir said, “It is not about Naveen-ul-Haq. I would have defended any player; that is my job, and that is how I am. Why should I not defend my players just because someone has a broadcaster working for him, left, right, and center? Someone who has a greater social media presence doesn’t have any right to walk over someone.”
