According to the latest media reports, star Indian opener Smriti Mandhana is doubtful for India’s Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 opening against arch-rivals Pakistan.

The top-order batter is alleged to have hurt her finger, keeping her from playing against Pakistan on February 12 in Cape Town.The swashbuckling opener did not bat in India’s most recent practice match against Bangladesh. However, there is still no official confirmation of the injury from the Indian camp. Mandhana was spotted during the game with a heavily wrapped middle finger on her left hand.
