ICC Picks The Nominees For Player Of The Month, One Indian Makes Into The List

On Tuesday, November 7, The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled a prestigious list of candidates for the Men’s Player of the Month award for October. The name also includes the star Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah along with Quinton de Cock and Rachin Ravindra.

The list of candidates comprises some renowned names such as South African wicketkeeper-batsman Quinton de Kock and Indian fast-bowling ace Jasprit Bumrah, along with the up-and-coming talent Rachin Ravindra from New Zealand.

These three players made it to the list of nominees according to their outstanding performances during the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 in India. Previously, Indian opener Shubman Gill received the prestigious award for September, thanks to his exceptional contributions in the Asia Cup and the three-match ODI series against Australia in his home country.

During six matches in October, de Cock has gathered 431 runs with an impressive average of nearly 72. Additionally, he showcased his excellent wicket-keeping skills by grabbing 10 catches and executing a stumping.

In the month of October, Rachin Ravindra performed exceptionally well, amassing 406 runs in six matches with an outstanding average of 81.20. In addition to his batting prowess, he also contributed with the bowl and took three wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah has maintained his top form since coming back from injury and showcased his exceptional skills during the World Cup. Throughout the month he took an impressive 14 wickets with an average of 15.07.
