ICC ODI Rankings: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma Gained Big After Their Batting Masterclass Against Sri Lanka

Following a stellar batting display against Sri Lanka in the first ODI in Guwahati, India’s Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma advanced in the most recent ICC ODI men’s rankings for batsmen on Wednesday.

In India’s triumph over Sri Lanka in the opening One-Day International in Guwahati, Kohli produced an incredible century, moving him up to sixth place. Also scoring aggressively with an 83, Rohit Sharma moved up to eighth place. Dasun Shanaka, the captain of Sri Lanka, hit a valiant century despite his team losing and climbed 20 ranks to number 61.

Mohammed Siraj, who gained the most ground in the bowling rankings after taking two wickets in the first ODI, rose four spots to 18. Suryakumar Yadav maintained his position at the top of the T20I batting rankings lists thanks to his outstanding century in the third T20I match against Sri Lanka.

In the latest ICC batsmen’s rankings, the Pakistan captain remains at number 1. Babar has 891 rating points. Apart from them, South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen is second with 766 points, Imam-ul-Haq third with 764 points, Quinton de Kock fourth with 759 points, David Warner fifth with 747 rating points, Virat Kohli sixth with 726 points, 719 Steve Smith seventh with rating points, Rohit Sharma eighth with 715 points, Johnny Bairstow ninth with 710 points and Fakhar Zaman 10th with 695 points
