ICC Announces Changes In The Schedule Of T20I World Cup 2024

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has made some changes to the T20 World Cup 2024 schedule as tickets for the event became available on Thursday, February 01. The ninth edition of the tournament is set to commence on June 01, jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA. The opening match will feature Canada and the USA at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, on June 01.

The ICC revealed a modification in the dates of the two semi-finals of the tournament. The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago, initially set to host the second semi-final on June 27, will now host the first semi-final on June 26 and June 27 will be taken as reserve day.

On the other side, the Providence Stadium in Guyana, originally slated to host the first semi-final on June 26, will now host the second semi-final on June 27, and June 28 will serve as the reserve day. These adjustments have been made to give specific time to the teams who will cruise to the final.

The ICC has officially announced the starting times for all matches, excluding the final, of the T20 World Cup 2024. The final is scheduled for June 29 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. India is set to commence their campaign against Ireland on June 05 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York.

All four of India’s group matches are scheduled to commence at 8:00 PM IST, with the highly anticipated India vs Pakistan encounter set to take place on Sunday, June 09, in New York.
