“I will return when…..” Hardik Pandya Revelead His ComeBack In Test Cricket Before Border-Gavaskar Trophy

Star Indian all-rounder and stand-in T20I skipper Hardik Pandya showed a maverick performance in the T20I series against New Zealand and won the series by 2-1 at home.

Looking at his marvellous performance in the white ball, he has also been named as the vice-captain of the Indian team in ODIs. Under his captaincy, the IPL franchise’s Gujarat Titans won their maiden IPL title and seeing his leadership, Indian selectors gave him a new role in the limited-over format.

Hardik played a blazing knock of 30 runs off 17 balls and bagged 4 wickets, restricting the visitor to just 66 runs and winning the clash by 168 runs, which is the highest victory for the Indian team in the T20I format. Looking at his all-round performance in white ball cricket, the reporter asked about his appearance in Test cricket. Replying to that, Hardik Pandya stated that he would return to test cricket when the right time for him.

“I will return when I feel it’s the right time to play Test cricket. Right now, I’m going to focus on white-ball cricket, which is important, and if time is right and body is fine, I’ll give the long format a try,” said Hardik Pandya.

Hardik Pandya has played 11 Test matches, in which he has scored 532 runs in 18 innings and also bagged 17 wickets. His highest individual score is 108, and his best bowling figure is 6/50. One test century and four half-centuries also registered to his name. The star all-rounder last played a Test match for India against England in 2018.

The Indian team will play Border-Gavaskar Trophy from 9th February under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. This series will be very important for the Indian team for World Test Championship 2021-23.
