“I think we were…”Shubman Gill drops a massive statement after GT thumped CSK in their final homegame

The Gujarat Titans skipper, Shubman Gill, felt that his side was ultimately 10-15 runs short in terms of net run rate, even though they beat Chennai. The Gujarat Titans beat Chennai in Narendra Modi Stadium by 35 runs.

Shubman Gill, along with his partner Sai Sudharsan, showed some exemplary batting as the duo added 210 runs for the opening wicket. In the chase, the Chennai Super Kings lost their top three batters with just 10 runs on the board.
However, it was Daryl Mitchell and Moeen Ali who took the charge and brought Chennai back into the game. At last, Dhoni also played a cameo of 26 runs on just 11 deliveries, which further reduced the deficit.

In his post-match presentation, Shubman Gill said that his side should have gotten to 250, but they felt short at the end.

Shubman Gill said, “250 was there for us to be taken. We were 10–15 runs short. I’d say in the last 2–3 overs, they bowled well as well. We were short in terms of the net run rate going forward.”

Shubman Gill further talked about his camaraderie with Sai Sudharsan, saying that both of them have great camaraderie and were looking to maximize each and every chance without thinking of the target.
