“I have never seen him…” Rohit Sharma’s take on Kuldeep Yadav’s claim

Team India’s dashing opener and skipper Rohit Sharma was involved in a funny banter with Kuldeep Yadav as the spin wizard made a claim to contribute with the bat for Team India if required. Kuldeep was included in the ICC men’s ODI team of the year 2023, being the highest wicket-taker in the format in the year, adding 49 wickets to his name.
The young spinner was recently presented with a cap from Skipper Rohit Sharma as ICC shared a video of the interaction between the duo during the presentation. Rohit Sharma was all praise for Kuldeep Yadav, calling him an asset for men in blue.
Kuldeep remarked, “Not much to say; I had a great season last year with the bat and the ball.” After learning about his batting, Rohit yanked his leg and asked when he played. In response, the wrist-spinner said, “In the Test series.” “This is for ODI; I was the captain of this team,” joked Rohit after hearing Kuldeep’s response. I haven’t seen him use a bat. Thus, I’m not sure what he’s talking about.

Kuldeep Yadav played an important knock in the lower order against Bangladesh in the test match, as he scored Crucial 40 runs with the bat. He was awarded Man of the Match for his performance with both bat and ball, as he picked up eight wickets in the match.

Kuldeep Yadav again played a valuable knock of 28 runs in the 4th Test against England and was involved in the match-winning partnership of 76 along with Dhruv Jurel.
Talking about ODIs, Kuldeep has scored 190 runs in 37 innings. Meanwhile, almost all of India’s 15-member squad, except Virat Kohli, has arrived in the USA ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. The Men in Blue will start their campaign with a warm-up fixture against Bangladesh on June 1.
