“I have experienced loneliness even in…..” said disappointed Virat Kohli

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is making his comeback from Asia Cup after a small break during the West Indies Tour. Before this, the star Indian batter opened up on mental health issues and shared his experience on the player’s condition and their steps when they feel alone or isolated.

He added that, despite being in a room full of people, among his loved ones, he felt alone. He added that not only him but many other player’s can also relate to this.

While talking to Indian Express, Kohli talked on mental health issues, the side effects and also the negativity which can be retrieved by it.

The batsman said,”For an athlete, the sport can bring the best out of you as a player but at the same time, the amount of pressure that you are constantly under can affect your mental health negatively. It is definitely a serious issue and as much as we try to be strong at all times, it can tear you apart.”

“My tips to aspiring athletes would be that yes, physical fitness and focus on recovery are the key to being a good athlete, but at the same time, it is crucial to consistently keep in touch with your inner self, he further added.”

Kohli played his last match for team India on England Tour. However, that tour as well did not make any change in Kohli’s form. Now the former captain sets his eyes at the forthcoming Asia Cup where he can attain his midas batting touch before the much awaited T20 World Cup 2022.
