“I have always…”Gautam Gambhir drops a bombshell on his appointment as head Coach

Gautam Gambhir the new Indian coach will have his own set of assistants. This means that Paras Mhambrey, the bowling coach, T. Dilip, the fielding coach, and Vikram Rathour, his batting coach, who had formed the Indian men’s support team will not form the Gambhir era team. On 9 July, at any rate Tuesday the Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the position through a press release congratulating the trio for their successful duration with the team.

The BCCI also appreciates the training of fresh talent and leading of india to finals of three ICC cup Communications in the 2023/24 season. Gambhir is expected to come with his own crew after taking the lead in India’s tour to Sri Lanka that kicks off in late July. Mr Ashok Malhotra, Mr Jatin Paranjpe and Ms Sulakshana Naik’s committee on cricket have all voted together on the KKR former coach for this role.

In their respective roles, the Board congratulated Mr Paras Mhambrey (Bowling Coach), Mr T. Dilip (Fielding Coach) and Mr Vikram Rathour (Batting Coach). via their press release, The BCCI said that their contribution was appreciated by them and also wished them success in their future endeavors

India flourished in all three formats of the game while under Rahul Dravid’s leadership. Following their exit at the semi-final stage during the 2022 T20 World Cup, a corner was turned by the Indians as they completely revolutionized their strategy in white-ball cricket. However, when it came to the final, even though they were outplayed by Australia, they went on to dominate Test cricket all through to 2023 World Test Championship final.

“The Board wishes to express its sincere thanks to Mr Dravid for excellent work done as Head Coach. Dravid had an impressive time in office; most notably with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, 2024 championship. India finished as first runners-up in the ICC 50-over World Cup, 2023 held in India and the ICC World Test Championship in 2023 held in England,” BCCI announced through a press release.

“In addition to the team dominating in bilateral series when playing on the home ground, Dravid has worked towards nurturing young talent while ensuring discipline and sportsmanship to be significant.” said the BCCI.

In response to his appointment, the Indian national team’s head coach expressed his opinion through BCCI’s press release. Whereas Gambhir anticipates seeing this chance as the second time he will be associated with the national Indian squad, albeit under different capacities.

“It is an absolute honour to serve my tricolour, my people, my country. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Rahul Dravid and his team of support staff for their exemplary run with the team. I am honoured and excited to take on the role of Head Coach for Team India.

I have always taken pride while donning the Indian jersey during my playing days and it is going to be no different when I take up this new role. Cricket has been my passion and I look forward to working closely with the BCCI, Head of Cricket – Mr VVS Laxman, the support staff, and, most importantly, the players, as we work towards achieving success in the upcoming tournaments.”
