Lucknow’s young pace sensation Mayank Yadav, in his second IPL game, ripped through RCB’s batting line-up in the middle overs. The pacer dismissed Glenn Maxwell, Cameron Green, and Rajat Patidar in the middle overs.
This performance earned Mayank Yadav his second man of the match award in the IPL in his first two matches.
Speaking about Mayank’s performance with the ball, Lucknow’s skipper, kl Rahul, said that he would enjoy Mayank’s bowling behind the wicket rather than facing him with the bat.
In his post-match presentation, Kl Rahul said, “Yeah, one ball hit me really hard, but I was so happy to see Mayank bowl the way he has in the last couple of games. He quietly waited for two seasons because of an injury, but he has been working very hard. He understands that bowling at 155 kph is not easy. It’s great seeing him bowl that fast, and I am fine enjoying his bowling from behind the stumps.”
Apart from Mayank Yadav, it was Quinton de Kock who set the tone for LSG in the match. The batter scored 81 off just 56 deliveries.
Speaking about Quinton, Kl Rahul said, “Quinton gave us a really good start, and by the time the opposition found the right lengths to bowl, we had got ahead of the game. They bowled really well on the back end. So yeah, the chat was to use the wicket. Not to bowl yorkers, and to stay calm and not fall under pressure.”
