” I don’t ready….” Mitchell Starc honest take on criticism after his IPL return

KKR premium pace bowler Mitchell Starc said that he is not too worried about the criticism and tries to detach himself from the outside buzz. Mitchell Starc, who has been brought in by KKR for a whopping sum of Rs 24.75 crore, has not had the best start to his IPL return.

However, Starc returned to form against LSG, where he picked up three wickets, giving away just 28 runs in his four overs, helping his side restrict LSG to 161/7.

However, earlier this season, Starc just had two wickets to his name in the tournament. Leaking runs at more than 10 per over. However, he made an excellent comeback with the ball against the Lucknow Super Giants.

Speaking about the criticism of himself, Starc said,”I don’t read anything, so that doesn’t bother me. I haven’t played a lot of T20 cricket in the last couple of years, so it’s probably taken me a little bit longer than I would have liked to get back into the rhythm of things and make a better impact. So today was nice in that regard.”

Starc also spoke about workload management, saying that it’s not that hard for test players to make adjustments in the other formats of the game.

Speaking about his workload management, Starc said, “I’m 34, so I’m pretty good with my workloads. I’ve been doing this for a long time, so that’s fine. It’s T20 cricket. For the guys that play a lot of Test cricket, this is certainly a lot easier physically. It’s probably more getting used to the tactical side of it.”

“We play again on Tuesday, and I think that’s a feature of T20 cricket, whether you have a good day or a bad day. You quickly focus on the next game. So far, we’ve started the season quite well as a group, and now we move on to Tuesday.”

KKR will face the Rajasthan Royals on Tuesday on their home ground.
