Virat Kohli has been one of the most influential and remarkable batters of the Modern Day era. Like other inspirational cricketers like MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli has also had an interesting journey. But who would play Kohli on screen if someday his biopics go on the floor?
Ram Charan, who is currently enjoying the success of his recent film RRR and the Oscar win of the Naatu Naatu song from the same movie, expressed his interest in portraying a character related to sports, which he has been wanting to do for a while.
When someone proposed the idea of him playing the role of star batter Virat Kohli in a biopic, Charan said that he would enjoy it very much. He also mentioned that Kohli is a motivating person and it would be fantastic to play his character if he gets the opportunity.
Ram Charan said,” would like to play anything to do with sport. It’s been a long due. Maybe a sports-based film,” Ram said when he was asked about a role that he would love to play. When he was suggested Virat’s name, he said at the India Today Conclave, “Fantastic, he is an inspiring soul. I think given a chance, it will be fantastic as I look similar also.”
Ram Charan’s statement just after Kohli’s performance of the Naatu Naatu hook step during the first ODI between India and Australia which happened at Wankhede.
