Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Hyderabad Cricket Association have come to an agreement about how to handle tickets and passes after some tension between them. This happened after SRH threatened to leave Hyderabad, citing issues they faced with HCA. There were claims of ‘harassment’ and SRH had reached out to the BCCI and IPL council, asking them to step in against what they called ‘blackmailing’ over free passes.
In an email, a top official from SRH expressed serious worries about these ongoing issues, calling for prompt action from the BCCI and IPL.
After some meetings between SRH and HCA officials, both sides put out a joint statement. HCA Secretary R. Devraj met with representatives from SRH at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. During this meeting, SRH emphasized sticking to the already existing agreement with HCA and BCCI to ensure that 10% of stadium capacity is set aside.
HCA responded by suggesting they keep the current allocation of passes as they have done for many years. After discussions, they agreed that the allocation of 3900 complimentary passes to HCA would stay the same.
HCA has promised SRH they’ll work together professionally moving forward, both sides looking to improve the experience for fans at the stadium.
