How Will Team India Win The ODI World Cup 2023? Nasser Hussain Gives His Best Analyses

Former England captain Nasser Hussain is of the opinion that India who are the top-ranked ODI team and hosting the 2023 World Cup, are the frontrunners to win the 50-over ICC tournament. Hussain supports the Indian cricket team, citing their advantage of playing at home and their exceptional performance that has placed them at the pinnacle of One Day Internationals.

India enters the ICC ODI World Cup with substantial momentum, having secured victories in the Asia Cup 2023 and the ODI series against Australia in the lead-up to the tournament. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the team is playing really well and they are evolving themselves as the lead to win the title.

“It’s hard to look beyond India. They’re ranked No. 1 in the world, plus history tells you that playing at home is a huge advantage. England won it four years ago, Australia in 2015 when hosting, and India themselves back in 2011. They’re also just a very good side with basically all bases covered. They’ll be very hard to beat,” Nasser Hussain told Sky Sports.

India has been phenomenal in the history of the World Cup. Their impressive World Cup history features memorable triumphs in 1983 and 2011, although they faced defeat in the final in 2003. India has also experienced the loss of semi-final exits in 1987, 1996, 2015, and 2019.
