Former Indian cricketer and now a renowned commentator Aakash Chopra has predicted that the star young left-handed batter of Rajasthan Royals Yashasvi Jaiswal will have a massive season for the franchise in the upcoming IPL edition.
Yashasvi Jaiswal’s outstanding performance in the home series against England, accumulating 655 runs with two double-centuries and two fifties in four games, sets high expectations for his continued form in the upcoming IPL.
While having a conversation on his official youtube Channel, Aakash Chopra said that the opening pair of Rajasthan Royals – Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal is best among all.
“I feel Rajasthan’s opening combination of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler is amazing. It could be ranked No. 1. I am saying that firstly because of Yashasvi Jaiswal’s current form. It means his 600-plus IPL season is almost loading,” said Chopra.
Yashasvi Jaiswal had a stellar 2023 IPL season, amassing 625 runs with five fifties and a century. Despite his individual success, Rajasthan Royals finished fifth on the points table, missing out on a spot in the qualifiers.
While praising Jaiswal, Aakash Chopra said,”When you head into a tournament with such confidence, you bat at a different level, which he did last year as well, but will do with more maturity this year.”
