Deepak Chahar expressed his views on the performance of CSK after its match against the Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. He appreciated how easy it was to bowl with greats like Trent Boult and Jaspri Bumrah on his side. Chahar spoke of bowling with Bumrah and Boult in the post-match press conference, saying, “When you have world-class teammates, it makes your job easier. If I have a rough over, they can help out and get crucial wickets. It also helps me approach the new batsman with more confidence.” He further acknowledged how the duo’s international experience comes in handy for his game: “Bowling in tandem means one can always put pressure on the opposition.”
Chahar was pleased by how well both batting and bowling have performed from the past few matches. When everyone does well and feels confident, you have the luxury to find your own rhythm. It’s all about the team, he explained.
About MI on top of the table, he said: “It’s great to be in first place. Being in the top two gives you an extra chance. Plus, we’ve got the momentum on our side. As players, we focus on one game at a time and try not to think too far ahead.”
Chahar went on to say that the trains treat each match as an individual one, ready to take on the Gujarat Titans at Wankhede on May 6.
