IPL 2023 Auction happened yesterday in Cochin and England’s star all-rounder Sam Curran made headlines becoming the most expensive player in IPL history. Curran was bagged by his first franchise Punjab Kings from where he started his IPL journey.
In the Auction, the all-rounder slot came with a hurricane and teams like Punjab Kings along with Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings started bidding war for the English all-rounder. Lastly, it was Punjab Kings who made the highest bid and took the all-rounder home.
Curran was picked by Punjab Kings for 18.50 crore and no one including Sam Curran expected that he would go for such a massive amount. Just after the buy the Punjab Kings took its official twitter handle and posted an old pic of Sam Curran with Punjab Jersey sharing their happiness to get the all-rounder back in the franchise.
Curran also did not stop his moment to enjoy and share his happiness with a reply. While responding to Punjab King’s tweet Sam Curran wrote,”Back to where it all started! Looking forward to it.”
Sam Curran is one of the topmost all-rounders in the world and he was the man of the tournament in the recently concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
