Historic Decision By Jay Shah, Indian Male And Female Cricketers To Get Equal Match Fee; Know The Amount

The Board Of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) has come up with a historic decision in the cricket journey of India. The BCCI secretary Jay Shah has announced that the Indian women cricketers will get the same amount of match fee that the male members of the Indian team get.

It is an incredible step towards tackling and minimizing gender discrimination. Jay Shah the secretary of BCCI posted a series of tweets in which he announces equal pay for every match.

Shah tweeted, “I’m pleased to announce BCCI’s first step towards tackling discrimination. We are implementing a pay equity policy for our contracted BCCI Women cricketers. The match fee for both Men and Women Cricketers will be the same as we move into a new era of gender equality in Indian Cricket.” He added, “The BCCI Women cricketers will be paid the same match fee as their male counterparts. Test (INR 15 lakhs), ODI (INR 6 lakhs), T20I (INR 3 lakhs). Pay equity was my commitment to our women cricketers and I thank the Apex Council for their support. Jai Hind.”
