Sunrisers Hyderabad young all-rounder Abhishek Sharma revealed that Travis Head is one of his favorite batting partners. Both Head and Abhishek added 68 runs in just 3.4 overs, helping SRH cross 100 runs in six overs.
The partnership between Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma set the tone for the Sunrisers, who went on to register the highest IPL score in history, scoring 277/3.
Speaking at the press conference, Abhishek Sharma said that he got a clear message from both the coach and captain to go and express himself freely.
Abhishek Sharma said, “In the meeting we had before the match, the message was pretty simple. Just go out and express yourself. Because that’s a very positive message from the captain and coach.”
Abhishek Sharma further added, “For this match also, it was pretty much the same. Just go out and express yourself. When I was batting with Travis Head, He is one of my favorite batters. I really enjoyed batting with him.”
It was a dream night for Abhishek Sharma with the bat as the southpaw went on to score the fastest fifty for Sunrisers Hyderabad, facing just 16 deliveries.
