“He won’t get a chance…” Big Claim Of Former Indian Opener On Sanju Samson In WI Series

India’s victory in the first ODI against West Indies was met with joy from fans, but there was also disappointment over the exclusion of Sanju Samson from the playing XI. Despite Suryakumar Yadav’s failure with the bat, the team management opted not to give the Rajasthan Royals skipper a chance in the opening game.

This decision has led to criticism from viewers and cricket experts alike, who believe that Sanju Samson should be given an opportunity in the remaining two matches of the series.

Former India opener and cricket analyst Aakash Chopra also expressed his opinion. While fans might hope for Sanju Samson’s inclusion in the second game, he doesn’t believe it will happen. Chopra pointed out that in the first match, even Ishan Kishan, who was in the playing XI, did not get a chance to bat at his preferred position of No.4. With Suryakumar Yadav holding the No.6 spot, Chopra suggested that it is unlikely that Sanju Samson will get a chance in the upcoming matches, which he finds unfortunate.

Aakash Chopra stated, “The fans might think that Sanju can play the 2nd game, but I feel he will not be able to play now. One match has happened, and you did not even get Ishan Kishan to play at No.4. SKY is there to bat at No.6, and despite the outrage, Sanju will not get a chance, which is unfortunate.”

Chopra also urged the Indian team to bat first if they win the toss in the second ODI. The decision to challenge themselves and set a target could be a strategic move, considering the relatively low-scoring nature of the pitch in Barbados during the first match.

Chopra concluded, “India should bat first if they win the toss. It might be difficult initially, but how else will you prepare for the World Cup.”
