Indian team started the year 2023 by winning the T20I series against Sri Lanka at home by 2-1; now they have also clinched the ODI against the visitors by winning the two matches of the three ODI match series, and the final encounter will be played on 15th January 2023.
In the T20I series, Indian rising star batter Surya Kumar Yadav continued his fabulous performance against the Sri Lankan bowler, and he played the destructive knock of 51 and 112* in the 2nd and 3rd T20I matches.

And Surya also gets the chance in red-ball cricket after his masterclass performance in the Ranji trophy.
