‘He Needs To Score Runs For Himself’, Sourav Ganguly Gives Final Verdict On Virat Kohli’s Form

After a break, former Indian captain Virat Kohi is making his comeback from the Asia Cup 2022. Fans are speculating about his favourite star to get some runs and dominate the opponents with his top-notch batting. However, BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has his final say over Virat Kohli break and form.

From the media to fans and experts are expecting Virat to get his next century. With no 3-figure mark since November 2019, the pressure is strictly increasing on the Indian batter. Meanwhile, Sourav Ganguly has given his verdict on Virat Kohli and said that the batsman needs to score runs for himself.

During an interaction on the sidelines of a media event in Kolkata, Ganguly said,”He needs to score runs not only for India but for himself. Hopefully it will be a good season for him. We all are confident that he’ll come back.”

Ganguly further added,”He’s a very big player, there for a long time. I know he has his own formula to score runs. It’s not possible that players of his stature can’t have such a long lean patch, I know he will definitely score runs. If he was not a great player, he would not have scored so many runs for so long.”

Let us tell you that Kohli has been rested for the West Indies and Zimbabwe Tour. The batsman has only 50+ score in 2022 which he scored during the IPL playing from his team Royal Challengers Bangalore.

For the Asia Cup 2022, Kohli is already there with the team and he is hitting the net hard.
