“He is not fit for Indian team captaincy because….” Legendary Indian Cricketer Kapil Dev Big Remark On Rohit Sharma

The players of the Indian team have been facing major injuries problem due to workload management for 12 months. Especially the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma; since he became the skipper in all formats Indian team has played 68 matches in which he played only 39 clashes. The fragile fitness of the Indian player is the talk of the town in recent times.

Looking at these issues, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev stated that Rohit Sharma has no problem; he has been a pillar of the Indian team along with Virat. He performed well, but his fragile fitness is a major concern for the Indian team. And He has serious doubts about the fitness of the men in blue.

“There’s no shortcoming in Rohit Sharma. He has everything, but there is a huge question mark over his fitness. Is he fit enough? Because a captain should motivate the other players to get fitter, the teammates should feel proud of their captain,” Kapil said.

Further, Kapil Dev added that he is a very successful cricketer, and if he gets fit, the entire team will get motivated by him, and team performance will also increase.

“I can say with surety that there is a huge doubt over Rohit’s fitness. There has been a lot of criticism that he hasn’t scored that many runs since he has become captain, I agree with it, but I don’t think there is any issue with his cricketing skills. He is a very successful cricketer. If he gets fitter, the entire team will rally around him,” he added.

Regular skipper Rohit Sharma featured the last time against Bangladesh in the 2nd T20I, in which his left thumb got injured, after which he was ruled out of the 3rd match. Rohit Sharma will be seen in the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka as the captain starting from 10th January.
