‘He Is Better Than Kieron Pollard’, Harbhajan Singh Huge Praise For This Destructive All-rounder

The star Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis played brilliantly against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024. With the help of his brilliant century, Lucknow Super Giants went on to win the second back-to-back game against the defending champions. They beat Chennai Super Kings by six wickets at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

While chasing the target of 211 runs, Lucknow faced early setbacks with Quinton de Kock and KL Rahul getting out early. However, Stoinis contributed crucial runs along with Devdutt Padikkal (13), Nicholas Pooran (34), and Deepak Hooda (17), guiding the team to their fifth victory.

The Australian all-rounder scored an unbeaten score of 124 runs from 63 balls which includes 13 fours and six sixes.

Impressed with the innings of Marcus Stoinis, former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has commended Marcus for his excellent batting skills and drew comparisons between him and Mumbai Indians legend Kieron Pollard.

While talking to Star Sports, Harbhajan Singh said,”He is better than Kieron Pollard when it comes to strength and hitting. Stoinis is a match-winner and played sensibly against Chennai. The best part about his batting is that he likes to hit straight and doesn’t fancy the other areas of the ground.”

The pitch in chennai became more helpful for the bowlers in the second innings due to heavy dew as CSK bowlers found it difficult to hold the ball. Not only this, the fielding at the ground also looked very averaged.
