Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya showcased his excellent captaincy skills to take his team to the final of the Indian Premier League for the second consecutive time. GT was almost standing on the verge of becoming the first team to win the two back-to-back IPL finals, but Chennai Super Kings broke their momentum with a five-wicket victory.
The former Indian batter and one of the most celebrated commentators Aakash Chopra has said that Hardik Pandya has developed himself as a wonderful captain. He further added that it would have been impossible for the GT management to reach the final of the IPL 2023 without the skills of Pandya as captain.
While talking to his official Youtube Channel, Aakash Chopra said, “Hardik Pandya’s captaincy, this job couldn’t have been done without the captaincy. He brings calmness, he brings confidence, he brings belief.”
Aakash Chopra also highlighted that Hardik Pandya has learned the art of remaining composed from the legendary MS Dhoni. Pandya has successfully made a balance between his calmness and being aggressive.
“He says he has learned from Mahi how to remain calm. He is otherwise a flamboyant player. That calmness and flamboyance do not actually go hand-in-hand. If you see Dhoni as calm, he is not flamboyant, he is very understated. If you see Kohli as flamboyant, he is also not calm, he is aggressive. Hardik Pandya is finding that balance, the best of both worlds,” he concluded.
