“He is a fake….”Ahmed Shehzad once again rips apart Babar Azam over his poor performance

Former Pakistani cricket player Ahmed Shehzad often criticizes Pakistan’s team leader, Babar Azam. As Pakistan is close to being out of the 2024 T20 World Cup, Shehzad harshly criticized Babar once more on the Pakistani talk show “Haarna Mana Hai” (Losing Is Not An Option!). The show made a comparison between Shehzad and Babar’s performance in the T20 World Cup, which was not flattering for Babar. Shehzad made fun of Babar being called “King” by calling him a “Fake King” and said that Babar’s performance numbers are not as good as his own. Shehzad also claimed that Babar is stopping new players from getting better chances so that his friends can keep their spots on the Pakistan team.

Babar has made 517 runs in 16 T20 World Cup matches so far, but he scores at a slow rate of 112. On the other hand, Shehzad has scored 250 runs in just 9 games, scoring at a faster rate of 126, and he even scored a hundred.

“I think I could have done better than my numbers show. But your (Babar’s) numbers are even worse than mine,” said Shehzad angrily.

“You’ve batted for 205 balls during the powerplay in T20 World Cups, yet you haven’t hit a single six!” Shehzad criticized.

“You destroyed the entire domestic structure. You sacrificed good performers in domestic cricket to adjust your friends in the team,” further criticised Shehzad.

Shehzad in particular blamed Babar for the way he has handled young opener Saim Aayub.

Speaking about the same Shehzad said, “It was your responsibility to take care of Saim Ayub’s development, but now his career is over at such a young age. People are criticising Ayub after just 25 games.”

Shehzad is now telling Babar Azam to admit his and the team’s bad performances. Pakistan is likely to be eliminated in the group stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Shehzad said, “At the very least, you should admit that you had support and say sorry for not being able to win a trophy for Pakistan.”
