He Could Be Next Babar Azam or Virat Kohli, Rashid Latif Huge Statement On This Rising Superstar

Former Pakistan player Rashid Latif has come with an interesting statement where he has marked an England player as the next Virat Kohli or Babar Azam. Kohli and Babar have been the two most talked about cricketers and experts often compare these two superstars based on their record-breaking stats.

Young Harry Brook has hugely impressed Rashid. After making his England debut exactly one year before in the T20Is against the West Indies, Brook gained attention with his sensational 153 innings against Pakistan in the Rawalpindi Test. Later, he finished the series in Multan and Karachi with back-to-back hundreds and a 65-ball 87. He did start with a three-ball duck on his ODI debut last week, but he recovered impressively to smash a 75-ball 80, despite being in a losing cause.

While having a conversation on the YouTube channel “Caught Behind,” Rashid praised Brook as the upcoming star of international cricket while pointing out that Sunrisers Hyderabad had acquired Brook for a whopping INR 13.35 crore at the IPL auction last December.

The former Pak player said, “If you look at Brook’s performance then in the last couple of innings he was just outstanding. He just doesn’t stop. He also became one of the most expensive overseas players in IPL auctions. Brook is now one of the best players in the world at the moment, among the current crop of players. He could be the next Babar Azam or Virat Kohli.”

Not just Rashid, but even England Test captain Ben Stokes has compared Brook to Kohli and believes the youngster will become a star in all forms of cricket like the former Indian captain.

Talking to Sky Sports, Ben Stokes had said, “He’s one of those rare players that you look across all formats and you can just see him being successful everywhere. It’s a massive shout, but Virat Kohli is one of those guys where technique is just so simple and works everywhere. The pressure that he puts back onto opposition is exactly what we’re about.”
