The former Indian batter and now commentator Mohammad Kaif has praised the star bowler of Rajasthan Royals, Sandeep Sharma for his valuable input into the games of RR and his overall performance in the history of the tournament playing for different franchises.
Kaif’s comments came after Sandeep Sharma, an overlooked bowler in Indian cricket, claimed five wickets against Mumbai Indians. Despite being highly skilled, Sandeep has been underrated and has only played two T20Is for India, despite his excellence in the T20 format.
After being injured and missing out on playing for Rajasthan Royals, Sandeep Sharma returned to IPL 2024 and grabbed five wickets for the team against Mumbai Indians. He played a key role in Mumbai’s top-order collapse and took important wickets in the middle and end stages of the match.
Despite facing tough opposition, Sandeep only gave away 18 runs in four overs and he looked unplayable for the MI batters. This wasn’t the first time Sandeep had such a remarkable performance.
After his impressive performance against the five-time champions, Kaif believes that the selection committee led by Ajit Agarkar should consider him for the upcoming T20 World Cup happening in the USA and West Indies.
