Haryana Roadways Bus Driver Sushil Saved Rishabh Pant’s Life; Check The Full Details

Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was severely injured in a car accident on Friday around 5:30 am. Pant was going to his home in Uttarakhand when his car crashed into a divider and caught fire on Delhi-Dehradun Expressway. Haryana Roadways bus driver Sushil, who had witnessed the whole incident, told how the car crashed with a divider and how he saved Pant.

“We were coming from Haridwar, and I am the bus driver in Haryana Roadways. We left Haridwar at 4.25 minutes as soon as we reached Narsen, 200 meters before. I saw a car from the Delhi side at a speed of 60-70 kmph. After some time car collided with the divider and overturned to Haridwar’s side, I thought it would hit our bus, and no one could save us; we would all die. I had a distance of 50 meters, so I took it out of the service lane and put the bus in the first line. That car left in the second line. The pieces of the car were broken.

I immediately applied brakes and jumped out of the window, and ran. I saw that person was half out of the car. I was holding his hand when the conductor also came along. We made him lie outside. We thought he had died. I saw that the car had started on fire and went towards the car and checked that no one else was there. I asked him, brother, is there any other person inside the car? He said that I was the only one. Later he told me that I am Rishabh Pant. Because I am not a cricket lover, I do not know much, but the conductor said that he is an Indian cricketer.

We made her lie on the divider on the side. There were no clothes on his body, we took a sheet from one of our passengers and gave him sheet. He later said that I had money in the car. We collected seven to eight thousand rupees from all the money scattered around the road and handed it over to him.

Then he was sitting in the ambulance. The conductor called an ambulance and the police. The ambulance arrived after 15 minutes. There was blood all over his face. The waist was peeled, and he was limping.”
