Star English batter Harry Brook is shining in all formats of cricket for England. For the first time, the batter played in the Ashes Test 2023 and he achieved a remarkable milestone. In the first innings of the match at Headingley, Brook only got three runs but in the second innings, he made a strong comeback and deployed a solid fifty against the Aussies.
With the innings of 75 runs in just 93 balls, Harry Brook has now become the fastest batter in Test history to score 1000 runs in terms of balls faced. England was chasing the target of 251 runs against Australia to win this do-or-die match and Brook supported the team with his blistering knock.
Brook has reached 1000 Test runs in 1058 balls. Before him, this record belonged to New Zealand all-rounder Colin De Grandhomme who got these runs in 1140 balls. The bowling all-rounder of New Zealand Tim Southee reached his 1000 Test runs in just 1167 balls while number four in the list is England opener Ben Duckett who achieved this feat in 1168 balls.
After losing two back-to-back matches in this Ashes, Ben Stokes has finally kept this series alive winning the third one by three wickets. While Chasing, apart from Brooks, Zak Crawley contributed with 44 runs, and all-rounder Chris Woakes who is making a comeback to the team got valuable 32 runs.
