“Hardik Pandya’s Strike rate is…”Irfan Pathan raises concern over Hardik Pandya’s hitting abilities

Former Indian all-rounder Irfan Pathan has raised concern over the current form of Indian all-rounder and skipper of the Mumbai Indians, Hardik Pandya. Coming in to bat at number 7, Hardik once again failed to make an impact, scoring just 10 of 10 deliveries.

After Hardik’s failure, Irfan Pathan took his X account and said that Hardik Pandya’s hitting ability is on decline, which is a worrying sign with the T-20 World Cup coming up. The former cricketer feels that Hardik Pandya has been fine at Wankhede, but his form with both bat and ball is a worrying sign.

Irfan Pathan wrote, “Hardik Pandya’s hitting ability is going down. That’s a big worry in the larger picture. At the wankhede, he is different, but on pitches where there is little  help, that is what is worrisome for him.”

Hardik Pandya has not been in the best rhythm with the bat in the ongoing IPL season. So far in 8 matches, Hardik Pandya has only scored 151 runs with the bat at a strike rate of 142.45 and a modest average of 21.57.

Apart from his batting issues, Hardik Pandya seems to be a weak link in Mumbai’s bowling lineup. The all-rounder has picked up just four wickets and is leaking runs at 10.94 RPO.
