Hardik Pandya surpasses Ms Dhoni in this big hitting feat

Batters from the Indian cricket team attacked the Bangladesh bowlers during the second T20I match held in Delhi on Wednesday. In just 34 balls, Nitish Reddy managed to score 74 runs while Rinku Singh scored 53 runs off 29 balls. Indian batters, after a slow start with three wickets falling in the Powerplay, came together in style with Rinku and Reddy sharing an impressive 100 run plus partnership. Nitish departed and after a short while, Hardik Pandya stepped up to the crease. He was aggressive towards the bowling opposition, however, scored 32 runs in only 19 balls. He also managed to connect for two sixes and two fours.

On hitting the first four, he went past the 116 beauts hit by MS Dhoni.

The young and promising Nitish Kumar Reddy, batted beautifully for the first time in his young career while Rinku Singh smashed a quick fire fifty as India scored 221/9 in the second T20I against Bangladesh on Wednesday. Reddy (74 off 34 balls) and Rinku (53 off 29) constructed a much-needed partnership of 108 runs for the4th wicket to rescue India from a tricky situation.

After being put into bat, the Indian top order was caught by surprised by the rapid pace of Tanzim Hasan, Mustafizur Rehman and Taskin Ahmed. The three fast bowlers adjusted their speed to achieve the desired effects.

To start the inning, Bangladesh rolled the attack two the spin bowlers Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Sanju Samson took some out of the spinner content hitting him for two straight boundaries collecting 15 runs from the first over.

However, Samson miscalculated his attempt at a fast start which resulted in his dismissal after facing Taskin.

With only two runs in the second over, Abhishek Sharma went on the offensive belt back-to-back boundaries and attempted to slog Tanzim Hasan however the 147kmph ball cut back to induce an inside edge causing his off-stump to cartwheel.

Shanto decided to use the services of Mustafizur in the sixth and final powerplay over and the veteran bowler made a cautious beginning and bowled a few slower ones, where on the third one Suryakumar Yadav ended up spooning a cutter straight into the hands of Shanto, which resulted in the third wicket of India in the powerplay overs.

However, Reddy turned the Bangladesh bowling attack on its head by clobbering seven sixes and four fours in just 34 balls. In line with the continued dominance, he scored his first T20 fifty in 27 balls after only his second T20I game by pushing the ball towards long-on.

Rinku, meanwhile, who struck five fours and three sixes, equally displayed his hitting power by launching Rishad Hossain’s leg-spin for the first six of the match in the eight over.

Similarly, Reddy grew fond of Rishad and smashed three sixes in the 10th over to make the score more than a hundred.

For the first six he clobbered one over the long on region. In the next over, Rishad again bowled a bad length ball and Reddy punished him with a slog over the wide long on region. This third one came bearing mid wicket.

Mustafizur put an end to the proceedings as well as to the 21-year-old’s batting display, dispatching him with a timely slower ball, although he was given a loud round of applause.
