The Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya has gained a special achievement in the 38th match of the IPL 2024, played between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur.
The MI skipper said that he was “very grateful” to have played 100 matches for MI and stated that it was a “surreal feeling”.
During the toss, Hardik Pandya said,”It’s a very surreal feeling to play the 100th game for the franchise, started my journey with MI, I’m very grateful.”
During the toss, Hardik mentioned that Mumbai Indians (MI) had made three changes for the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) and clarified their choice to bat first.
Hardik led Gujarat Titans (GT) to their first IPL title in 2022, returned to MI via a trade deal before the 2024 season. He then became the captain of MI replacing Rohit Sharma.
But Hardik faced a tough crowd during the first three matches as MI didn’t win any game. They finally broke their losing streak with a victory against Delhi Capitals on April 7th and have won two more matches since then.
In the 38th match of the IPL 2024, MI lost the game against Rajasthan Royals by nine wickets. It was Yashavi Jaiswal from RR who smashed a solid hundred(104*) against MI to take his team home while chasing a target of 180 runs.
